There are currently 55 (approx) satellites
in geostationary orbit that sit between 58 degrees west and 68.5
degrees east, based on looking due south. These satellites carry
thousands of TV and radio channels and some can be accessed free.
Popular installations are European channels, French, Italian, German
etc.
The equipment required is a digital satellite receiver,
dish complete with electronics, optional motor and cable. These can
be ground mounted as well as on the house. Dishes range from
80-120cm.
