We specialise in fitting TV aerials for Freeview digital TV in the Fareham area of Hampshire.
What's all the kafuffle about Digital and Wideband aerials
anyway?
Analogue aerials are designed to work in groups of
frequencies and we in the Solent area use Row Ridge on the IOW for
our TV reception. This transmits in group A (471.25MHz –
605.25MHz). The other groups used in the UK are Groups B, C/D, E and
K. Digital aerials cover all these groups (471.25MHz – 853.25MHz)
and are known as Group W or Wideband and are designed for the reception of Digital channels.
All our aerial installations are based on digital aerials but
will also receive analogue until it is switched off. Cable,
amplifiers, splitters are also based on digital reception to ensure
you are ready for Digital TV.
The size of your aerial will depend on your geographical location
and surroundings. We will calculate this after a signal level
test has been obtained. Aerials can be mounted on chimneys, gable ends,
roof entry and attics, but this can give a reduction in signal
quality and strength.
The type of aerial mount that we supply depends on the aerial
location and should stand up to the windy weather we have in the
Solent Area.
All of our installations come with a 2 year warranty and our
unique 7 day satisfaction period. Yes, you pay nothing for 7 days to
ensure your satisfaction. |
